Responsibilities

• Haul steel and industrial products locally using a commercial tractor-trailer combination (tandem axle Conestoga flatbed trailer)
• Secure loads with straps and chains — no tarping required
• Deliver safely and on time to customers across the U.S.
• Handle paperwork and communicate with dispatch as needed
• Other duties as required

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• 2+ years of experience operating commercial tractor-trailer combinations of 48/53 feet
• 6+ months flatbed or Conestoga experience strongly preferred
• Experience hauling steel or oversized freight strongly preferred
• Detailed knowledge of DOT/FMCSA safety standards

Compliance Requirements

• Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets safety and insurance standards, with no disqualifying violations in the past 36 months*
  • Disqualifying violations may include but are not limited to: DUI, reckless driving, license suspension for traffic-related offenses, and repeated moving violations indicating unsafe driving behavior
  • Each applicant’s record is reviewed on a case-by-case basis
• Compliance with FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse, including a clear record with no violations prohibiting operation of a commercial motor vehicle**
  • Requires pre-employment query showing no active violations (e.g., positive drug/alcohol test results, refusal to test, or unresolved violations)
  • Applicants must consent to pre-employment and ongoing Clearinghouse queries as required by law
