About the role

The CDBG-Development Services Program Grants Coordinator administers the City’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) entitlement program in compliance with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requirements. The role provides program and project coordination for the Community Development Department, including administrative support to the Planning and Building Divisions and relevant City boards and commissions. Under the supervision of the Planning Manager, the position exercises independent judgment, initiative, and decision‑making, and is responsible for HUD compliance, reporting, sub‑recipient oversight, and managing daily program activities. The position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer the City’s CDBG entitlement program in compliance with HUD requirements.
• Provide program and project coordination for the Community Development Department.
• Offer administrative support to the Planning and Building Divisions.
• Offer administrative support to relevant City boards and commissions.
• Exercise independent judgment, initiative, and decision‑making.
• Ensure HUD compliance and prepare required reports.
• Oversee sub‑recipient oversight and monitoring.
• Manage daily program activities.
