About the role
This position is located at Bette Ra Ivey Discovery Center in Largo, FL. It is a Noninstructional/Support - Position - CHILD DEVELOPMENT ASSOC (CDA).
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily operations of the child care center.
- Provide support to teachers and staff in implementing developmentally appropriate practices.
- Assist with the supervision and care of children.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
Requirements
- Must have a valid Florida Child Care Professional (CCP) license.
- Must have completed 45 hours of Child Care Facility training.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a childcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of child development and safety standards.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Basic computer literacy.
Pay
The salary for this position is $17.9806 per hour, based on the pay grade D, pay grade 09.
