CCR&R Training Program Assistant - Bilingual - Child Care Resource & Referral

About the role

Supports training and facilitation of collaborative and group learning opportunities offered by Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R). Serves as support to participating programs. Assists in the day-to-day operations of the collaborative opportunities. Works under limited supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain training logs, professional development records, and rosters for training events.
  • Provide support for virtual and in-person events with individual trainers, facilitators, coaches, staff, and community partners. Set up zoom links and physical spaces, send out calendar invites and reminders, coordinate catering, ensure accurate rosters and participant sign-ins, and provide other related assistance.
  • Perform administrative tasks in support of the production and distribution of quarterly newsletters and training schedules. Ensure tracking spreadsheets are correct, complete, and properly formatted.
  • Assist with developing promotional flyers and materials. Gather information regarding opportunities from other organizations and community groups, and ensure that materials are shared out as appropriate.
  • Provide support and technical assistance for staff and educators regarding system access, registration, and completion.
  • Create and distribute training evaluation forms using templates and ensure correct formatting.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports to meet funding regulations and for special and periodic projects.
  • Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.
  • Maintain records and/or activity logs.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum three years of experience providing administrative or program support functions.
  • Bilingual skills with fluency in English and Spanish or Russian.
  • Experience providing basic education, training, or technical assistance services.
  • Experience with basic event or training coordination.
  • Proficiency with technology such as Zoom, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, shared documents.
  • Experience working with diverse backgrounds, demonstrated commitment to promoting access and diversity.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered on a year-for-year basis.
  • Must be enrolled in the Oregon Central Background Registry prior to beginning employment and enrollment must be maintained throughout employment.
  • Must complete required Department of Early Learning and Care Self-Study Trainings within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Oregon Center for Career Development and the Oregon Registry.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Working Conditions

This position is a flexible office-hybrid role requiring some in-person meetings, appointments, or training. Work is sometimes performed in an emotional and stressful environment. As necessary to meet workload demands, works outside of typical schedule, including evening/weekend hours. Work may require travel to off-campus locations.

Initial salary placement will be based on years of relevant full-time equivalent experience at the sole discretion of the College, per the guidelines in the Collective Bargaining Agreement and in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws. Include all relevant full and part-time experience (including unpaid and volunteer experience) in your application that you want the College to review towards potential placement.
