Job Summary

Next Lives at the University of Cincinnati, a vibrant urban public research university founded in 1819. The Performance Management Office at the College-Conservatory of Music is seeking Operations and Scheduling Assistants for the upcoming academic year. Ideal for students interested in the performing arts, live events, or arts administration.

What You'll Do

  • House Management (Evenings/Weekends): Assist patrons, scan tickets, distribute programs, manage volunteer ushers, and ensure the front-of-house runs smoothly.
  • Stage Management (Evenings/Weekends): Support performances behind the scenes by running basic lighting and sound cues, moving instruments and concert equipment, and coordinating with performers.
  • Operations (Varied Shifts: Morning–Evening, 7 Days/Week): Help open/close venues, monitor CCM buildings, set up rehearsal rooms, assist with building maintenance, and provide facility access.
  • Scheduling Office (Weekdays 8:30am–4pm): Work the front desk, assist with scheduling rehearsal spaces, answer emails, help with recital bookings, and handle locker inquiries.

Job Details

  • Time Commitment: 10–15 hours per week
  • Shifts Available: Monday–Sunday, 8:30am–11:30pm (evening/weekend availability a must)
  • Pay: $11.25/hour (new hires)
  • Schedule: Built weekly via the “Sling” app based on your availability
