CBA Aircraft Mechanic – A&P with Inspection Authorization FBI AMSS

Responsibilities

• Maintain strict compliance with all applicable FAA regulations, commercial aviation industry safety standards, FBI guidelines and policies, industry standards, manufacturer’s instructions, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, specifications, letters, and technical data.
• Perform all scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, inspection and repair associated with the aircraft, engines, propellers, associated systems, and specialized mission equipment.
• Perform conditional, annual, phase and special inspections as required.

Qualifications

• A High School diploma or GED equivalent required; two-year technical trade school, military experience, or equivalent on-the-job training is required.
• Must have a minimum of five years of hands-on experience as a Mechanic. Experience shall be in a similar position within the last twelve (12) months.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DOJ Top Secret Security Clearance is required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
• The employee works in an aircraft hangar the majority of the shift and is required to stand; walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms as well as push and pull items.
• The employee must able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Normal day to day working conditions are inside an aircraft hangar with good ventilation and airflow. Work may be regularly required in outside weather conditions where the employee will be exposed to all types of environmental conditions and extremes such as hot, cold, rain, wind, etc.
• The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock.
• The employee is occasionally exposed to high precarious places, confined spaces, toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of radiation; and vibration.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
