Catholic Religious Education (RE) Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage Catholic religious education programs from preschool through adult faith formation
  • Recruit, train, and support volunteer teachers and staff
  • Clock in program registration, scheduling, and classroom readiness
  • Develop and manage program materials and assist with annual budgeting
  • Support sacramental preparation (First Communion, Confirmation, RCIA)
  • Maintain records, attendance, and required background checks for volunteers
  • Prepare publicity and digital outreach for parish education programs
  • Submit required reports, schedules, and monthly activity summaries
  • Maintain RE office and storage areas in a clean and organized manner

Required Qualifications

  • At least one year of teaching experience in a Catholic educational setting
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work professionally with clergy, staff, volunteers, and families
  • Comfortable working in a military and multi-faith environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic social media tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Work Schedule

  • Minimum of 18 hours per week
  • Some evening and weekend hours required
