Catholic Nursery Caregiver

About the Role

We are seeking part-time Nursery Caregivers to assist in a classical and Catholic classroom for 14 hours per week during the 2026-27 academic year at our center in Nashville, TN. Regina Caeli Academy is a classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition that offers instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays.

No teaching certification or formal teaching experience is required. We will provide the necessary training. Childcare/nursery is provided for tutors.

Responsibilities

• Assist in a classical and Catholic classroom environment.
• Prepare for classes at home and teach in a highly structured setting.
• Follow provided curriculum and grading guidelines.
• Adhere to RCA standards for instruction and classroom management.

Requirements

• Must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
• Deep love for the Catholic faith and living it day-to-day, including having received all sacraments appropriate to your state in life.
• Strong communication skills, good organization, and timeliness.
• Traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.
• Must pass a background check and complete RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching.
• Available to attend one mandatory training day on August 6, 7, or 8, 2026 (8am-5pm; no childcare provided, nursing babies welcome).

Qualifications

The ideal applicant may have experience in one or more of the following (though not required):

• Homeschooling or working with homeschool children.
• Ministry in a Catholic parish.
• Teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes.
• Teaching your own children.
• Teaching in a classical or private school.

Schedule

• Mondays and Thursdays, 8:15 am - 3:15 pm.
• 14 hours per week during the 2026-27 academic year.
