Job title: Catholic Choir Director Location: Eglin AFB, FL 32542 Travel: N/A Duties: Conduct rehearsals and performances for at least half an hour, but no more than two and for the Catholic Worship Services. Obtain the Catholic Priest’s approval for special music and activitiesDirect the 0800 and 1100 Mass every weekendChoose the songs for the worship service and coordinate these songs with the Catholic Priest or his designee, and the MusicianWork with the Catholic Priest to select and direct special music when neededRecruit and train members for the choirBe responsible for all requests for equipment and facilities utilized by the choir Education/ Qualifications: Have practical experience for proficiency in reading, singing, and directing musicHave a working knowledge of worship music used in Catholic Worship settings and an ability to learn and direct new songsWill be on time. Will contact supervising chaplain or delegate if there is a time conflict.
