About the role
The Cath Lab Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures on both inpatient and outpatients that require responsible and independent judgment. The individual will assist with training, education, and orientation of staff and others. The Cath Lab Technologist will assist in maintenance of the CQI program. The individual must be able to work the hours specified.
Responsibilities
- Receives and screens patients per procedure.
- Performs pre-procedure assessment.
- Provides pre-and-post procedure education to the patient and family members.
- Assembles the proper paperwork necessary prior to the procedure and completes all necessary documentation for completion of the patient's chart.
- Assists the physician and scrub person during the case.
- Administers medication and therapy according to the physician's orders.
- Operates diagnostic equipment necessary to complete procedures.
- Provides input regarding new policies and procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization/Angiography Lab.
- Operates and maintains the hemodynamic monitoring equipment.
- Maintains transducer balance to hemodynamic system.
- Recommends interventions to attain expected outcomes.
Requirements
- Associate's Transcript showing completion of a Cath Lab degree.
- Cardiographic Interventional Radiography (RI) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 60 Days.
- Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 60 Days.
- Must be familiar with the anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system, comprehension of the ECG and hemodynamic system.
Qualifications
- Two years experience in field or specialty.
- Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds.
Skills
- Comprehension of the ECG and hemodynamic system.
- Familiarity with the anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system.

Pay
The pay range for this position is listed below. Actual pay rate dependent upon experience. $32.25 - $48.50
Schedule
Duties hours 0700 to 1530 or 0730 to 1600 Monday thru Friday. Call shared with other staff. Weekend Call rotation once every other weekend to every 3rd weekend. May be eligible for a $25,000-$40,000 sign on bonus!
