About the Role

The Cardiac Cath/Special Procedures Technologist assists in the preparation and provision of care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and/or radiographic procedures. They operate radiographic equipment and provide technical assistance (scrub) to the physician during procedures. They may also function as a sub-circulator under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Requirements

• Associate Degree or 2 years of college coursework
• One year of related experience
• Working knowledge of standard practices and procedures

Qualifications

• Must obtain ACLS within one year of hire date
• Registered by the ARRT, ARCRT, or CCI (RCIS)

• Radiologic Technologist certification
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
