Cath Lab/IR Tech

About the role

The Cardiac Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology Tech serves as a member of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Services Team assisting in the performance of diagnostic and invasive procedures. Independently function during diagnostic and interventions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the performance of diagnostic and invasive procedures under the supervision of a physician.
• Independently perform diagnostic and interventional procedures with minimal supervision.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including pre-procedure assessment and post-procedure care.
• Operate equipment and ensure proper functioning during procedures.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements

• BLS and ACLS certification is required.
• AART or RRT certification and NBRC credential for RRT is required.
• Education: Associate's or Technical degree in Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, or related field.
• Experience: 1 year in Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, or Electrophysiology, or 3 years in lieu of education.
• Licenses/Certifications: ARRT (Radiologic Technologist), RRT (Respiratory Therapy), or RCIS/RCES (Cardiovascular Interventions Specialist).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.

• Good interpersonal skills.

Full-time, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
