Cath Lab Imaging Technician - Cardiac Cath Lab - Casual

Job Summary

Assists in cardiac diagnostic and interventional catheterizations and peripheral angiography procedures. Responsible for fluoroscopic, imaging, and recording equipment. Assesses and provides appropriate equipment to treat adult and geriatric patients. Works as a team member and independently.

Job Specification

• Minimum Education Required: Completed an accredited radiology technologist program.

• Minimum Experience Required: Two - Three years of diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization lab experience preferred.

• Licensure/Certification Required: Currently registered with the ARRT and in good standing. BLS certified required (or obtain within one month of hire), ACLS certified within 6 months required. AART (CV) certification preferred but not required. RCIS certification preferred.

• Skills: Proficient in interpreting EKG and hemodynamic pressure tracings, pacemakers, and related equipment; ability to use radiographic equipment and handle patients in various conditions; experience in electric countershock techniques; ability to function as a team member; ability to demonstrate surgical asepsis principles; necessary acuities to perform essential functions.

• Shifts: Varies, Days with Call Hours.
