Cath Lab Charge Nurse

Job Summary

You'll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care, LTC, or nursing homes adds tremendous value to our nursing team.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for your fellow nurses and support them in reaching their full potential.
• Evaluate care given by staff and coach to improve care.
• Maintain the standard of care in your department.
• Prepare work schedules, assign personnel, and coordinate patient flow.
• Exhibit appropriate prioritization and critical thinking skills in critical situations.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess patient needs.

Required Job Requirements

• Two (2) years RN experience within applicable clinical specialty and/or charge nurse experience
• Affiliate Associate of Science in Nursing
• Registered Nurse: AZ (RN:AZ)
• Basic Life Support - CPR (AHA-BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Skilled working knowledge of the EMR and hospital systems

Preferred Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
• CVICU experience for Critical Care Charge Nurse
