Catering Lead

About the role

The Catering Lead at Panera plays a crucial role in our catering operations. You manage and produce catering orders for guests, ensuring memorable experiences through warm, friendly service and proactive follow-ups. You also assist with delivering orders to guests' events, adhering to health and food safety standards, and building excitement for Panera's products and services.

Responsibilities

• Create catering orders for guests
• Ensure guests are satisfied with warm, friendly service and effective communication
• Deliver orders to guests' events while strictly following health and food safety standards
• Maintain Panera's standards for craveable food quality
• Market Panera Catering to local area businesses, schools, and events
• Support Managers and Team Members as needed
• Help build a culture of warmth, belonging, growth, and trust

Requirements

• Minimum age: 18 years old
• Basic food safety understanding and practice training (Food Handler’s Card, as required by law)
• Enjoy people and have effective communication skills
• A self-starter who can meet goals with limited supervision
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Own a vehicle suitable for delivering orders and have an acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects 25-50 pounds
• Stand and walk for up to 3 hours
• Clear communication and quick understanding of guests and associates' directions in a loud environment

Qualifications

• Must have your own vehicle
• Must have an acceptable driving record
• Must be flexible with work hours, including nights and weekends
• Must be able to operate a passenger motor vehicle safely
