About the role

The role involves establishing category sourcing strategies, leading cross-functional strategic sourcing teams, negotiating with suppliers, and executing contracts to optimize Amazon's competitive position. This includes managing relationships with category suppliers, identifying and optimizing opportunities, providing market intelligence, and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Establish category sourcing strategies
  • Lead cross-functional strategic sourcing teams
  • Negotiate with suppliers and execute contracts
  • Manage category suppliers to proactively identify, monitor, and optimize opportunities
  • Drive relationships with category suppliers
  • Anticipate strategic opportunities and keep key stakeholders informed
  • Act as a market intelligence provider
  • Identify, achieve, and report on savings and value targets for category sourcing activities
  • Align with internal customers and understand the business application of the category

Requirements

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • 3+ years of working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
  • 2+ years of supply chain experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
