As the Senior Category Manager for Direct Materials, you’ll have the opportunity to design and implement procurement strategies that ensure supply security, meet financial objectives, and drive long-term category development.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and monitor procurement strategies to ensure supply security, meet financial and budget objectives, and support mid- to long-term category developments.
  • Apply technical expertise in direct materials and procurement processes to evaluate supply markets and select the best suppliers.
  • Lead negotiations and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure optimal quality, price, and service.
  • Oversee the selection and quality of materials, ensuring compliance with PMI and regulatory standards.
  • Design and implement programs to streamline products and processes, challenging the status quo to realize productivity gains.
  • Review and approve contracts and price lists to ensure accurate documentation and supplier performance measurement.
  • Guide and motivate decentralized procurement team members and stakeholders to foster growth and development.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of procurement experience with a focus on purchasing, planning, development, or quality assurance functions.
  • Significant experience in purchasing, product development, and quality management within a multinational environment.
  • Experience with raw ingredient materials and packaging buying.
  • Strong people leadership experience.
  • In-depth understanding of the supply market and related service categories.
  • University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics, or Engineering.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong financial analysis skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of negotiation techniques.
  • Good command of process engineering and understanding of manufacturing environments.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Effective time management.

Pay

Base Salary Range = $149,600 - $187,000
