As a Category Manager II, you will develop sourcing strategies and manage assigned commodities for TSI and DICKEY-john, ensuring cost management, supplier performance, and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Supply Chain Director and/or Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead assigned commodity areas and ensure the best total cost of ownership for material and service acquisitions, including negotiation of supply and pricing agreements.
- Provide leadership and guidance to supply management personnel to drive improved supplier performance in cost, quality, and delivery.
- Lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies for assigned commodities with a global perspective.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the TSI and DICKEY-john supply base.
- Evaluate and optimize the supplier base within assigned commodity areas to support cost, quality, delivery, and supply continuity objectives.
- Support the development and management of supplier and internal performance dashboards and metrics.
- Provide input on Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) affecting supported commodities and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation.
- Serve as an active member of new product development teams, providing sourcing recommendations, preferred supplier solutions, and commodity expertise.
- Analyze supplier, market, and business data to develop recommendations and present findings to Supply Chain leadership and project teams.
- Research industry trends and best practices and identify opportunities to improve sourcing and supplier performance.
- Lead commodity teams within assigned categories and serve as the subject matter expert.
- Complete other assignments and special projects as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or another related technical field (required).
- Minimum of 6+ years of work experience in supply management, strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management.
- Experience managing commodity areas and leading cross-functional commodity teams.
- Minimum of 4+ years of Tier I ERP software experience.
Qualifications
- APICS Certification, ISM Certification, or Graduate degree in a technical field (desired).
- Experience in a technical product manufacturing environment (low volume manufacturer).
- Lean manufacturing background.
- Experience working in a multi-plant and/or matrix management environment.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.

Pay
Competitive market salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Additional bonus opportunities may be available for eligible leadership and individual contributor roles.
