About the role
The role is open within the Procurement function. Your scope will be to run strategic product related procurement projects with a total annual value of 50 to 100 million USD. You will have exposure to high level business decision making. The chance to work with various stakeholders. Amongst them: a mature global procurement team, suppliers, site planners & senior management (Directors & Vice Presidents). On top of that the opportunity to drive and lead global continuous improvement projects.
Responsibilities
- Advanced strategic thinking skills with ability to analyze data, understand interdependencies and develop strategies at a regional or global category level.
- Actively engage with key stakeholders from different Business Lines to understand business requirements and incorporate them into the supplier selection and decision making process.
- Work closely with stakeholders to align technical and commercial requirements, secure total costs and inculcate long-term partnership with key suppliers.
- Develop category strategies at a regional or global level. Explore cost reduction opportunities and establish a total cost of ownership approach internally and with external suppliers.
- Actively work to improve commercial terms with suppliers, identify ways to support minimize spending and reduce cost to support the company’s financial objectives.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years procurement experience in strategic procurement and category management.
- Bachelor or master’s degree related to the industry.
- Advanced strategic thinking skills & extensive negotiation experience.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Comprehensive experience of working with international sourcing across regions in high complexity environment.
- Strong stakeholder management & capability to build strong internal and external relationships.
- Fully fluent in English, both verbal as well as in writing.
- Travel (15 – 20 %) is expected.
