Category Management
About the role
The Regional Procurement Buyer (RPB) works with sites to identify priorities, needs, issues, areas of improvement, smart alternatives, and cost‑effective innovation opportunities. The RPB provides solutions that leverage the Procurement organization, sources, negotiates, and manages local and regional contracts within scope in coordination with Category Leads (CL) when applicable. The RPB is accountable for total spend and saving targets, implements and monitors compliance according to global/regional category strategies, medium and small Capex procurement plans (per DOA), and policies, processes, and procedures. The RPB collaborates closely with CLs to ensure open dialogue and consultation to maximize Procurement agility, serves as the key business partner and point of contact for the site(s) in scope — understanding and representing site needs, opportunities, and challenges — and may sit on the Site Leadership Team where relevant. The role fosters transversality within the region and across regions; some RPBs are nominated specialists on specific topics within the team.
