About the role
Removes and stacks trusses coming off the production line. Stacks trusses in bundles and bands them according to spans and lengths. Works in a fast-paced environment while coordinating and working with others to complete truss packages for delivery.
Responsibilities
- Removes bundled truss packages to carts or staging area.
- Moves and stacks trusses to safe working locations where forklifts have access to move.
- May gather small lumber pieces and save them in designated area for other uses.
- Moves carts from component saw area to lumber staging area.
- Works in conjunction with the jig leads and production foreman to ensure efficient production levels.
- Keeps area organized and clean.

Qualifications
- Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
- Ability to read, print and speak simple sentences.

- Ability to count.

- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to stand and walk.
- Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds.
Work Environment
- Work environment involves a fast-paced production setting.
