Essential Job Functions
- Greet customers warmly, engage with them in a friendly and professional manner, and provide attentive service throughout their visit.
- Take drink orders from customers, including both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Have a thorough understanding of the cocktail menu, wine list, and other beverage offerings, and be able to make recommendations based on customer preferences and tastes.
- Work closely with bartenders to prepare and serve drinks to customers efficiently and accurately, following established recipes and presentation standards.
- Utilize suggestive selling techniques to promote additional drink options, upgrades, or specials to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables and seating areas in the bar or lounge, including clearing empty glasses and plates, wiping down surfaces, and ensuring a tidy environment.
- Process payments for drink orders, including handling cash, credit card transactions, and processing payments accurately and efficiently.
- Adhere to alcohol service laws and regulations, including checking identification to verify legal drinking age and refusing service to intoxicated individuals when necessary.
