About the Role
Manipulates computerized tomographical radiological equipment, using knowledge of positioning patients and general anatomy and physiology as well as the ability for processing these images. Responsible for the tracking of each study and the PACS acquisition of the study performed. Properly uses radiation protection devices, selects technical factors necessary to produce optimum quality computerized radiographical images; processes those images and performs a variety of other duties consistent with providing quality computerized tomographical services.
Schedule
Weekend Only Work (WOW) position requiring a minimum of five out of six consecutive weekends. Shifts are Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM (two 16-hour shifts per weekend).
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program.
- One year’s experience in a CT department with multi-slice technology preferred.
- A.R.R.T. registered in Radiology; state licensed in radiology by the LSRT.
- CT Registered required within one year of hire.
- Current BLS certification through any ILCOR-provided course (e.g., Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, American Red Cross), including a manikin check-off.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with patients of all ages.
- Strong guest relations skills.

- Standing, sitting, or walking for long periods of time.
- Lifting at least 50 pounds is required.
- Moderate level of noise in the work environment.

Pay
Employee will be paid for hours worked, plus shift and WOW differentials.
