About the role
The CT Technologist works under the supervision of the physician, providing radiologic care and services to patients by operating equipment to produce images of the human body for the diagnosis and treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders. The Float CT Technologist ensures the Radiology department meets current accreditation program and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists standards while achieving Singing River Health System objectives. This role requires working at all SRHS facilities.
Schedule
- Shift: 6:00am–6:30pm every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Rotating call, holidays, and hurricane teams included
Location: Singing River Ocean Springs Hospital
Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment to produce diagnostic images of the human body
- Ensure compliance with Singing River Health System procedures, policies, and accreditation standards
- Adhere to American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) standards
- Perform duties in accordance with SRHS objectives and governing healthcare guidelines
- Work across all SRHS facilities as a Float CT Technologist
- Handle exposure to body fluids, communicable diseases, and hazardous materials safely
- Maintain collaborative and professional working relationships within SRHS and external organizations
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited, state-approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Current registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- CT Registration by ARRT preferred
- Licensed by the Mississippi State Department of Health
- BCLS certification (completed and maintained upon hire/transfer)
- Minimum of six (6) months experience in Computerized Tomography Scanning (required for Float/Premium Flex CT Tech roles)

Physical Demands
- Moderately active work involving frequent movement within the facility and travel between SRHS locations
- Frequent exertion of negligible force to lift, carry, push, or pull objects, including patients
- Exposure to body fluids, communicable diseases, CRT equipment, sputum, and tissues
- Repetitive motions (e.g., wrist, hand, or finger movements while operating equipment)
- Ability to perceive sound at normal speaking levels and make fine auditory discriminations
- Close visual acuity to shift focus between computer monitors and printed materials
- Ability to remain active for extended periods without undue fatigue
- Flexibility to work assigned schedules, including off days, shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
