JOB SUMMARY
The CRS Utility Technician will perform general duties around the shop and yard, including pressure washing equipment, assisting CRS Technicians with mechanical tasks, PM service, pre-delivery inspection, and operating equipment in and around the yard. The CRS Utility role will do a lot of equipment loading/unloading and may contact customers daily.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must have one or more years of general mechanical experience or related mechanical education.
- Knowledge and/or experience with diesel engines or heavy equipment is desired.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Superior verbal and written communication,
- Computer diagnosis,
- Mechanical skills and abilities are required.
- Must meet or exceed the requirements of a CRS Technician Level Trainee.
- Basic knowledge of operation and function of Caterpillar equipment and engines.
- Mandatory mathematical and mechanical aptitude.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Lifting, carrying, and pulling up to 50 pounds.
- Standing and sitting up, moving up and down stairs, and climbing into machines with be required.
- Frequent movements that require hands, wrists, and fingers.
- Noise levels in the work environment are usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
