CAT Rental Store Utility Technician

JOB SUMMARY

The CRS Utility Technician will perform general duties around the shop and yard, including pressure washing equipment, assisting CRS Technicians with mechanical tasks, PM service, pre-delivery inspection, and operating equipment in and around the yard. The CRS Utility role will do a lot of equipment loading/unloading and may contact customers daily.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have one or more years of general mechanical experience or related mechanical education.
• Knowledge and/or experience with diesel engines or heavy equipment is desired.

KEY COMPETENCIES

• Superior verbal and written communication,
• Computer diagnosis,
• Mechanical skills and abilities are required.
• Must meet or exceed the requirements of a CRS Technician Level Trainee.
• Basic knowledge of operation and function of Caterpillar equipment and engines.
• Mandatory mathematical and mechanical aptitude.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Lifting, carrying, and pulling up to 50 pounds.
• Standing and sitting up, moving up and down stairs, and climbing into machines with be required.
• Frequent movements that require hands, wrists, and fingers.
• Noise levels in the work environment are usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
