About the role

The Driver’s main priority is to transport Ohio Machinery's general construction equipment to and from customers and/or other locations via tractor-trailer. As a team member of the rental department, the Driver will ensure the completion of Rental agreements and inspect the equipment before delivery and upon return.

  • Transport general construction equipment to and from customer sites and other locations via tractor-trailer
  • Ensure completion of rental agreements
  • Inspect equipment before delivery and upon return

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Clean driving record (less than 4 points)
  • Class A CDL License
  • Current Medical Certification Card
  • Prior experience as a truck driver
  • Strong working knowledge of all rental equipment (preferred)
  • Professional language and tone
  • High levels of customer service for internal and external customers
  • Open-minded, customer-focused, cooperative, able to work with a team, and flexible

Physical requirements

The functions of the position require lifting, carrying, and pulling up to 50 pounds. Standing and sitting, moving up and down stairs, and climbing on and off delivery vehicles and into machines will be required. The functions require normal dexterity and repetitive, as well as frequent, movements that involve the hands, wrists, and fingers. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
