Casual Teammate - Part-time Dishwasher- Saturday and Sunday

About the role

The casual teammate plays a crucial role in SUNY Geneseo's culinary and dining services, operations, and administration teams. You will work in various locations such as dish rooms, dining areas, retail shops, and stock rooms under the supervision of management.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves food in designated stations
• Cleans pots and pans, and puts them away
• Maintains cleanliness in the dish room throughout your shift
• Washes tables and chairs in the dining area as needed
• Removes trash from dining areas when full
• Cleans dirty garbage cans and replaces them with clean bags
• Restocks napkins, silverware, and condiments as needed
• Cleans toaster and microwave areas as needed
• Stocks any required items following FIFO rules and plan-o-grams
• Follows health codes and policies
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet individual and organizational goals

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
• General knowledge of health codes and policies

Hourly rate of pay: $16.00

Purpose

The casual teammate, under the supervision of management, performs routine labor in various locations of the restaurants and cafes. Areas may include but are not limited to dish room, dining areas, retail shops, and stock rooms.

Qualifications

Essential functions include preparing and serving food, cleaning dishes, maintaining cleanliness, washing tables and chairs, removing trash, cleaning garbage cans, restocking supplies, and following health codes and policies.
