Casual Pool (Day Program)

About the role

As a Casual Pool Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities within our residential and/or day programs. This is a part-time, flexible, as-needed position, offering you the opportunity to make a difference while tailoring your work schedule to your needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, etc.) and activities.
• Assist with implementing person-centered plans, promoting independence and individual choices.
• Foster a positive and supportive environment, encouraging social interaction and emotional well-being.
• Document progress and observations accurately and concisely.
• Collaborate effectively with team members, including direct support professionals, program coordinators, and supervisors.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma OR Equivalence
• Valid Driver License and ability to drive an organization vehicle
• Access to transportation to travel locally
• Act 33/34/73 Clearances
• Pre-Employment Drug Screen, Physical/TB
• Must successfully pass Department of Public Welfare Medication Training within 90 days of employment

Schedule

This is a Non-Exempt (hourly) position. You must work a minimum of 4 work shifts per month. The role offers flexibility, allowing you to pick the shifts that work best for you, with the ability to pick up additional shifts if needed. The position requires working rotating shifts, which may include weekends and holidays.
