About the role

Vetsource is seeking a Casual Workflow Pharmacist to join our team in Northlake, TX. This role is responsible for verifying the accuracy of medications and overseeing the work of pharmacy technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Verify the accuracy and validity of medications packaged in compliance packaging
  • Verify the work of pharmacy technicians and interns, including the accuracy of orders being shipped to pet owners (product scan and label review)
  • Oversee the dispensing activities of pharmacy technicians as required by law
  • Assist with other projects related to the first verification team (V1), including but not limited to: basic electronic prescription verification, verbal telephone orders, order clarifications

Requirements

  • Current pharmacist license in good standing valid for the state in which you will be based
  • B.S. or PharmD in Pharmacy
  • At least 1 year working as a licensed pharmacist
  • Thorough knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
  • Dispensing skills: accurate, efficient, detail-oriented, and dependable
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively listen and communicate information in a clear and friendly manner
  • Experienced using email, Slack, GSuite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.)
  • Strong computer skills, including the ability to learn how to navigate new programs quickly

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience working in a high volume dispensing environment
  • Knowledge of veterinary pharmacy
  • Experience in mail-order pharmacy
  • Experience working with automation in a pharmacy setting

What You'll Bring

Working Conditions

The environment where dogs are present if in the office. Occasional stooping, lifting, and/or bending.

Pay Range

$60.00 - $63.00 / hour
