About the role

PAML, a Labcorp company, is seeking a Casual Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Covington, WA. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and represent the company in Patient Service Centers or Client offices. You will also have opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic needs
• Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Requirements

• Valid Washington-issued Phlebotomy License (or application for license filed with the WA Department of Health at time of hire)
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• At least 21 years of age or older
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record
• Valid Driver’s License
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 or more months of phlebotomy experience
• 6 or more months of current or prior Labcorp experience in phlebotomy

Pay

• Pay Range: $22.30 - $27.69 per hour
• Float Incentive: Additional $2.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement
• Quarterly Incentive Bonus Program: Eligible for performance-based quarterly bonuses

Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours per week, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only. Employees on a 7-on/7-off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.
