Pay

• Hourly rate: $22/hr
• $500 sign-on bonus
• +$1/hour night shift differential
• Eligible for monthly profit sharing (earnings can increase by $1.50–$3.00/hour)

Schedule

• 7pm–7am, 4x4 schedule
• 6pm–6am, 4x4 schedule

Responsibilities

• Help pit crew start and end drops
• Operate mobile equipment (forklift, skid loader, sweeper, overhead crane) to move logs
• Use mechanical or air bander to band logs into bundles and accurately mark (heat number, alloy, length, and weight)
• Operate and move homogenizers; fill out homogenizer charts correctly
• Help pit crew with unplugging and plugging of furnaces
• Learn to operate log saw and help furnace operators when needed
• Properly fill out paperwork for recording of logs and inspection reports

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years or older
• Self-motivated and willing to learn
• Ability to work based on criteria under work environment
• Must have ability to communicate (both written & verbal) and work well with all employees
