Casting Operator (Weekend Nights)

PDM, a leader in the industry with over 50 years of experience, is seeking mechanically inclined, self-starter individuals to join our team as Casting Operators. We operate 24/7 and are committed to quality, innovation, and safety.

About the role

As a Casting Operator, you'll be a crucial part of our operation, helping to produce top-quality products in a fast-paced, high-tech environment. You will set up, operate, and maintain casting equipment, ensuring continuous, efficient production with minimal downtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic machine maintenance, manage casting molds, and control critical process parameters like cooling water and gas flow.
• Stay alert to detect malfunctions, adjust settings, and keep detailed records to ensure product quality.
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations to minimize disruptions.
• Communicate issues clearly, suggest improvements, and work closely with your team to maintain a safe and efficient environment.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Self-starter mindset who can take initiative and work with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail to monitor complex equipment and processes.
• Commitment to safety and following procedures every time.
• Solid teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively.
• Reliability, consistency, and the drive to grow within our company.
• At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing (preferred).
• Physical fitness, with the ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work in various environments (hot in summer, cold in winter).

Schedule

6:50 PM - 7 AM, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.
