Job Responsibilities
- Uses all safety equipment on machinery as well as all personal protective equipment properly.
- Demonstrates general shop floor safety.
- Demonstrates excellent attendance.
- Fills out daily production reports detailing work activity as well as any other paperwork required per procedures.
- Uses appropriate measurement equipment to confirm product characteristics.
- Operates material handling equipment.
- Uses hand tools to set up and operate the casting equipment.
- Inspects various casting components.
- Completes minor maintenance tasks of casting equipment.
- Operates casting equipment with varying controls while ensuring quality and completing other tasks simultaneously.
- Troubleshoots and corrects casting process problems.
Job Requirements
- Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
