Casting Operator l

Responsibilities

• Applies the appropriate paste to grids, creating plates that help the battery to hold its charge
• Loads raw materials into machines
• Manually on and off bears materials from/to machines
• Affords assistance to operator in monitoring pasting machine function
• Performs visual inspections for quality and quantity; enters data into data collector
• Operates forklift to move materials; completes any required documentation

Requirements

• Must be committed to safety excellence and have ability to wear all required PPE (including a respirator)
• Lifts 50 - 80 lbs. and stands for long periods of time

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Six months - 2 years of manufacturing/plant experience
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures and heavy environment
• Clean shaven
• Ability to use hand tools and learn specific machine controls, gauges, etc.
