Casting Operator I

About the role

Trojan Battery Company is seeking a driven and thorough individual for the Casting Operator position. This role is available on a second shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Monitor devices and tools to ensure proper function.
• Complete daily standard production reports.
• Perform inventory counts and reports.
• Understand and read CTQ & SPC charts and graphs.
• Collaborate with Quality Control, Maintenance, and Engineering managers to assist and/or implement process improvement programs.
• Ensure production and quality standards are met through visual/physical inspections and tests.
• Analyze and diagnose equipment malfunctions and expedite repairs and corrective measures to minimize downtime and defects.
• Complete CPI Training (methodology).
• Absorb and assist with training as needed.
• Assign work crews and various department operations (deliveries, transfers, ovens, data collection).
• Collect and complete hourly CTQ data.
• Perform mold and trim die changes.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Forklift certification.
• Basic English proficiency to interpret work and apply safety instructions.
• Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Clean-shaven appearance.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.

• Must be able to follow strict hygiene rules, including mandatory showering and lunch breaks on site.
