Casting/ Melting Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment is operating within specified parameters
• Maintain quality is maintained
• Fill out required production documents
• Material handling
• Absorb any changes in conditions that cannot be controlled
• Maintain clean/organized work area

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to work both independently and as a team
• Basic troubleshooting and problem solving
• Basic computer skills
• Basic math skills
• Ability to read and comprehend basic English
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to identify nonstandard situations and respond accordingly

Education & Experience

• High school degree or GED equivalence
• Experience in molten metal manufacturing preferred
• Crane and forklift experience preferred

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Requires constant physical activity throughout shift such as walking, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, handling, near/far vision, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs
• Flexible work schedule as needed with adequate notification
• Always maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing personal protective equipment
• Willing to work in hot/humid, cold, noisy industrial environment
