About the role

The Bartender mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks while maintaining high standards of cleanliness in each bar area. They ensure a positive guest experience and interact with guests in a cordial and professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares all drinks in accordance with established recipes.
  • Serves guests and servers according to established policy.
  • Acts as a cashier in front and service bars, handling checks and settlement of guest checks in accordance with policies.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Interacts and services guests in a cordial and gracious manner while presenting a professional experience.
  • Exhibits conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discretely notifying management of concerns.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Certificate in Mixology required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years in high-volume bartending.
  • T.I.P.S. certification and Sanitation certification preferred.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide specific to job responsibilities.

Work Environment

  • May be exposed to casino-related environmental factors, including secondhand smoke and excessive noise.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, taste, or smell.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Fast-paced, hectic, and often crowded and noisy environment with constant exposure to the general public.

The Tribal Council gives preference in employment to Native Americans, with first preference to members of the Seminole Tribe and second preference to members of other federally recognized tribes. Final candidates will be required to obtain gaming licensure through a background check, which may include credit and criminal background checks.
