Casino Host - Virginia

About the role

The Casino Host at Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assistance to VIP players and all guests in high limit rooms and around the casino. This role ensures that guests have a favorable gaming experience and encourages guest retention and repeat business.

Responsibilities

• Interact and build relationships with guests, focusing on higher denomination zones.
• Explain the benefits of the Player’s Reward Club and encourage enrollment.
• Grow actual revenues annually, consistent with property plans and cross-property goals.
• Respond to guest’s special complimentary requests and make adjustments based on sound, profitable decisions using the company’s complimentary policies.
• Continuously develop and sustain personalized relationships with guests, increasing awareness of their complimentary use and standing based on company policies.
• Execute proper complimentary decisions for all guests for off-site sporting suites and event tickets based on company policies.
• Ensure full compliance with departmental internal controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Extend compliments in accordance with the property comp matrix.
• Assist with guest functions and special events.
• Develop qualified guests to move their play to higher denomination zones and monitor guest activity through online systems.
• Handle and respond to guest complaints to ensure a positive outcome.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team, both within and outside the department on a daily basis.
• Recognize problem gaming signs and deal with them appropriately.
• Work a flexible and irregular work schedule.

Requirements

• Two (2) to Five (5) years of experience in customer service, marketing, hospitality management, and/or gaming.
• Two (2) years of experience in direct interaction with customers.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license as determined by the State Gaming Agency for the position.
• Professional, mature, positive, and confident demeanor in dealing with guests and accomplishing daily tasks.
• Knowledge of gaming regulations.
• Ability to recognize problem gaming signs and deal with them appropriately.
• Broad variety of tasks and deadlines require a flexible and irregular work schedule.
• Must have the ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by Virginia Gaming Control Board or any other applicable regulatory entity as may be required to perform assigned duties, or as required by Live's operating standards.

Skills

• Two (2) to Five (5) years of experience in customer service, marketing, hospitality management, and/or gaming.
