Casino Gift Shop Cashier

Primary Tasks

• Stock and price items and arrange displays.
• Ring up customers and verify identification of customers when needed.
• Keep gift shop clean; storage areas for merchandise, well-maintained, and secure.
• Answer customer or public inquiries regarding general gaming location information, procedures, payouts, etc.
• Use computers to enter, access, or retrieve data.
• Keep accurate records of monetary exchanges, authorization forms, and transaction reconciliations.
• Maintain security according to rules.
• May perform regular inventories of merchandise and re-order as approved.
• Perform other tasks as may be assigned.

Job Requirements

• Prior retail cashier experience.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services (including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction and security).
• Apply basic math (arithmetic, ratios, proportions or conversions).
• Apply oral or written communication techniques.
