Responsibilities

• Cleans bathrooms and replenishes supplies
• Maintains offices, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, escalators, VLT Machines and other work areas
• Dusts high areas, including televisions, plants, plexi-glass panels and tops of VLT machines
• Performs preventative maintenance on all janitorial equipment
• Sweeps and picks trash off floors, including entrances and apron
• Cleans spills
• Wipes off VLT Machines and cleans between them
• Washes windows, door panels, and sills
• Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays, including those at entrances and on the apron
• Dry cleans carpet
• Cleans mirrored ceilings
• Keeps storage rooms clean and organized
• Delivers cleaning and paper supplies
• Answers guest's questions about the facility

Requirements

• Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
• Must qualify for licensing with the West Virginia Racing Commission

Physical demands

• Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear
• Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Work environment

• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals
• Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration
• Noise level is usually loud

Schedule

Overnight shift (12am-8am).
