About the Role
The Casino Cashier receives and exchanges cash, coins, chips, checks, credit, and other monetary notes for guests enjoying the casino.
Responsibilities
- Receive and exchange cash, coins, chips, and checks for guests.
- Count chips and paper currency quickly and accurately.
- Operate coin counters, chip mechanisms, 10-key adding machines, and related equipment.
- Perform basic math functions for counting chips, cash, coins, and preparing reconciliation reports.
- Communicate tactfully with guests, department heads, and shipboard employees to resolve problems and negotiate resolutions.
Requirements
- Two years of cash handling experience in a customer contact position within hotel banking, casino, or a related industry.
- Proven customer service skills to interact professionally and positively with guests.
- Ability to count chips and paper currency quickly and accurately in US dollars.
- Working knowledge of computers, internet access, and proficiency in software like Excel and Word.
- Completion of high school or basic education equivalency preferred.
