About the Role
The Cage/Vault Shift Lead ensures the effectiveness of Casino Cage and Vault Operations. You will report to the Cage Vault Shift Manager 2.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and train new hires, cage cashiers, tip cashiers, poker cashiers, and OTB cashiers, including resolving associate performance issues and conducting performance management with staff (reviews, addressing sub-standard performance).
- Promote teamwork and inclusiveness, auditing/inspecting the work of your team to ensure standards are met.
- Collaborate with other Front of the House Casino Departments (Poker, Table Games, Player’s Club, Player Development, Promotions, Slot Operations, Food & Beverage, Hotel, and local Travel Plazas) to meet their monetary needs, ensure excellent guest satisfaction, and verify the accuracy of all transaction paperwork.
- Maintain security, surveillance, and gaming policy & procedures to protect the assets of the Casino and report all fraudulent and suspicious activity immediately.
- Develop methods, processes, and staffing to forecast and fulfill demand, and prepare cashier window rotation based on needs to ensure equality for all team members.
- Resolve customer issues, answer public inquiries, and immediately address customer/associate/management concerns.
- Prepare and respond to reports and inquiries related to the auditing of casino paperwork. Work with Revenue Audit and Compliance to ensure all standards are met.
- Use multiple computer software systems to enter, access, record, review, or retrieve data.
- Implement corrective/preventative actions and inspect and retrain your team as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of high-volume cash handling policies, including security, verification, and accuracy.
- Able to work with large sums of money and chips.
- Ability to apply excellent oral communication techniques.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Three (3) years of cash handling experience with prior management experience preferred.
