Cashier/Sales Associate - Store 4309

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a smile and operate the register accurately and quickly.
• Become an expert in lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales while ensuring age‑verification compliance.
• Offer friendly service and upsell when possible to increase sales.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment, including deep‑cleaning high‑use restrooms.
• Wipe down and sanitize gas pump nozzles, screens, and water buckets.
• Pick up litter and trash from the floor and lot area; take out trash to the dumpster in all weather conditions.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise fresh and fully stocked.
• Sweep, mop, clean windows, and keep entryways tidy.
• Cross‑train in other departments (e.g., deli) as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Assist teammates and step in wherever needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts (2nd & 3rd shifts).
• Willingness to stand and stay on your feet for most of the shift and work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Physical ability to frequently lift 10 lb and occasionally lift up to 50 lb.
• Pass a pre‑employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Friendly, personable demeanor with strong customer‑service orientation.
• Detail‑oriented, reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
• Adaptable and flexible in a fast‑paced environment.
• Previous retail or customer‑service experience is a plus but not required.

Pay
