About the role

Our Sales Associates keep the store clean, inviting, and running smoothly for every customer. You’ll greet customers, run the register, maintain a spotless environment—including bathrooms, parking lot, and pump area—and help wherever needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a smile and operate the register accurately and quickly.
• Become an expert in lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales while ensuring age‑verification compliance.
• Offer friendly service and upsell when possible to increase sales.
• Deep clean high‑use restrooms.
• Wipe down and sanitize gas pumps (nozzles, screens, water buckets).
• Pick up litter and trash from the floor and lot area.
• Take out trash to the dumpster in all weather conditions.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise fresh and full.
• Maintain a clean and organized store: sweep, mop, clean windows, and keep entryways tidy.
• Cross‑train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Be a team player and step in to help wherever needed.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to work hard, stay on your feet for most of the shift, and work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
• Capable of frequently lifting 10 lb and occasionally lifting up to 50 lb.
• Pass a pre‑employment drug screen and a criminal‑history background check.
• Personable and positive demeanor with a friendly approach to customers.
• Detail‑oriented, noticing small things that improve the customer experience.
• Reliable and responsible: punctual, trustworthy, and proud of your work.
• Flexible and adaptable in a fast‑paced environment.
• Previous retail or customer‑service experience is a plus but not required.
