About the role

Our Sales Associates are the heart of the store, handling registers, keeping the environment clean and inviting, and ensuring a smooth experience for every customer. This role involves hands‑on tasks such as maintaining spotless bathrooms, keeping the parking lot and pump area free of trash, and maintaining overall store safety.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a smile and operate the register accurately and quickly.
• Become an expert in lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales while complying with all age‑verification and legal requirements.
• Offer friendly service and upsell when possible to increase sales.
• Deep clean high‑use restrooms.
• Wipe down and sanitize gas pump nozzles, screens, and water buckets.
• Pick up litter and trash from the floor and lot area.
• Take out trash to the dumpster in all weather conditions.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise fresh and full.
• Maintain a clean and organized store: sweep, mop, clean windows, and keep entryways tidy.
• Cross‑train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Be a team player and step in to help wherever needed.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays; flexible to work full‑time or part‑time.
• Willingness to work hard, stay on your feet for most of the shift, and handle indoor and outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
• Physical ability to frequently lift 10 lb and occasionally lift up to 50 lb.
• Pass a pre‑employment drug screen and a criminal‑history background check.
• Friendly, personable demeanor with a knack for making people feel welcome.
• Detail‑oriented and reliable; punctual and trustworthy.
• Adaptable and flexible in a fast‑paced environment.
• Previous retail or customer‑service experience is a plus but not required.
