Cashier | Part-Time | PPL Center
Responsibilities
- Cover the cash register sales by entering the orders and completing the transaction.
- Maintain stock and supply levels and communicate low-stock items to the Concessions Stand Manager.
- Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including disposing of garbage and cleaning dishes.
- Serve beverages to guests, including alcoholic beverages, responsibly.
- Check guest's ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify the minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages.
- Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
- Absorb and assist in the cleanup and breakdown of the assigned concession area at the end of each workday.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the stand lead, supervisors, or managers.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Three or more months' experience in the food service industry is preferred.
- Previous cash handling experience is preferred.
- The ability to learn to handle cash and learn to operate a cash register and corresponding system is required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers, and guests are essential.
- A valid food handling certificate and alcohol service certification if required by state and federal regulations (or willingness to obtain one within a 60-day time frame from the date of hire) is required.
- The ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, some holidays, and long hours is required.

PPL Center is a state-of-the-art multipurpose arena in downtown Allentown, PA, and home of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. The arena seats more than 10,000 for concerts and more than 8,500 for Lehigh Valley Phantoms professional hockey games, making it the region’s largest event venue. The amenities-packed PPL Center hosts more than 150 events each year, offering something for everyone, including the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, the AHL affiliate of the NHL Philadelphia Flyers, live concerts, family shows, trade shows, youth sports, high school and collegiate events, conferences, graduations, and so many more.
Pay
This role pays an hourly rate of $12.00 to $14.00 and is tip eligible.
Schedule
This position will remain open until October 16, 2026.
