About the role

The Cashier interacts with customers at a retail store, providing excellent customer service. Evening and weekend shifts are required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the retail store, assisting with customer service questions.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and handle appropriately.
• Handle customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
• Ensure accurate cash handling.
• Price store merchandise as directed by store management.
• Stock merchandise on shelves as directed by store management.
• Manage customer returns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Frequent lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Long periods of standing.
• Frequent bending and twisting.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Skills

• Customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills (calculator, cash register-scanner).
• Phone handling skills.
• Ability to price and stock merchandise.
• Handling customer returns.
