About the role

The Cashier at Oak View Group (OVG) operates within the Atlantic City Convention Center & Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall, a multi-purpose facility known for its high-capacity arenas and theaters. This role involves cash register sales, beverage service, and maintaining a clean workspace.

Responsibilities

• Cash register sales: Entering orders and completing transactions.
• Maintain stock levels: Communicate to the Concessions Stand Manager about low stock items.
• Customer service: Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns.
• Work area cleanliness: Ensure a clean and organized workspace, including garbage disposal and dish cleaning.
• Beverage service: Serve beverages, including alcoholic drinks, responsibly.
• ID verification: Check guest IDs according to state/federal regulations to ensure compliance with minimum age requirements for alcohol purchases.
• Sanitation and safety: Adhere to sanitation and health standards in work areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Three or more months' experience in food service industry preferred.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to learn cash handling and operate a cash register system.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, positive attitude.

Pay

This role pays an hourly rate of $19.50 and is tip eligible (per CBA).
