Cashier - Part Time

Role: Operate cash register and electronic scanner to process customer transactions, handle various payment methods, and assist with bagging purchases while delivering courteous customer service. Responsibilities Manage cash register operations, itemize purchases, and process payments accurately.Weigh, bag, and handle products including groceries, produce, and meats.Understand and operate check-stand equipment efficiently.Maintain front-end displays and ensure proper product signage and pricing.Promote store programs, specials, and coupons to customers.Adhere to security, cash handling, and safety policies.Keep the department clean, stocked, and compliant with safety and sanitation standards.Assist with stocking and perform additional tasks as needed, including in other departments. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED preferred.Prior retail experience is advantageous.Strong verbal communication, customer service, and organizational skills.Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic abilities. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks in a retail environment.
