Good Company Doughnuts & Cafe is seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our team. You'll be part of a fast-paced, friendly, and professional environment where you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining high-quality standards, and contributing to our success.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a welcoming attitude and guide customers through menus, making recommendations.
• Know your customers and foster professional relationships, remembering their typical orders.
• Maintain work areas in a neat and hygienic manner, including blenders, beverage machinery, tables, shelves, floors, tools, and implements.
• Describe tasting notes of all specialty beverages articulately to customers.
• Master Point of Sale and other applications.
• Complete checklists, including opening/closing/cleaning, ensuring the next shift is set up for success.
• Pack food and doughnut orders neatly and quickly according to packing guidelines.
• Learn and keep up-to-date with menus, communicating ingredients effectively to customers.
• Ensure all food and drink meet food safety and quality standards, preventing cross-contamination.
• Check product quality and notify supervisors of non-conformance.
• Receive and help put away inventory items, such as paper goods, coffee, milk, etc.
• Maintain cleanliness, including FOH, patio, bathrooms, table-top, chairs, floors.
• Remove trash and recycling materials as needed and ensure proper disposal in dumpsters.
• Work with the team to complete weekly/monthly cleaning and maintenance schedules of beverage-related equipment.
• Strictly adhere to food safety laws and standards.
• Be timely and dependable.
• Ensure total customer satisfaction.
• Communicate with your team and foster a positive work environment.
• Perform other related duties as implied or assigned.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Certification (must obtain within 90 days of start).
• Ability to follow recipes.
• Ability to work both independently and as a cooperative member of a team.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to prioritize and compete assigned tasks.
• Legal right to work in the United States.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods - you will be standing/walking most of your shift (up to 10 hours).
• Ability to stoop and reach overhead at or above shoulder height.
• Possess fine motor dexterity.
• Fluency to read and communicate in English.

Location and Schedule

1350 S Eads St STE 80, Arlington, VA 22202 Shift: Days – includes some Weekends / Holidays (with some flexibility)

Compensation

$13 - $15 / hr. + Tips ($18+ - $24 +) total hourly compensation.
